Supporting local is a value of mine, I believe that taking care of those in your community only benefits the greater good. I also wanted to provide a space to highlight my favourite artisans who are providing quality products and services. As a fun way to get to know a little bit about these businesses I asked them all a few questions. Check it out below!

1. Why did you start your business?

I went to school for makeup & esthetics shortly after high school and worked in that industry for a few years. Near the end of my time working in that industry, I focused solely on makeup and have worked for many different brands such as Jane Iredale to Chanel, and Dior. Eventually I switched careers and worked in an office but I still did makeup on the side because I loved it so much. After having my 2 children and taking a few years off to raise them, I felt ready to dive back in. I had been getting asked if I could do makeup for friends events, weddings, etc so due to the demand of work and the support of my incredible friends and family, I knew it was time to officially start my business.

2. Why choose your service over others?

I have many years of experience working in the makeup industry and have done makeup for fashion shows, photo shoots, weddings, events, etc. I have worked on many different clients over the years including a variety of different ages. I have a shade range for everyone and accept all clients with open arms. Makeup is my passion and my goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and help make a persons natural beauty shine through while achieving the look they want.

3. Name 1 cause or passion that is close to your heart.

My husband introduced me to Hope Mission a few years ago and they are an incredible program for impoverished and homeless people in Calgary and Alberta. They help provide food and shelter and have so many great programs and camps for children and teenagers. I think it’s so important to give back and support our local city. They take all sorts of donations including volunteer type work.
