These quick and delicious energy bites are the perfect on-the-go snack for when you need a boost before or after your workout, or whenever you find yourself feeling hungry throughout the day. They have a great balance of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates that will satisfy your body without all the sugar, yet still delivers for your chocolate fix. As an added bonus, they don’t need to be refrigerated! So you can confidently pop a few into a container to throw into your workout bag or purse when you’re on the go.

Prep time: 5 min Total time: 20 min  Servings: 14

1 cup of dates

1 cup oats

½ cup hemp seeds

2 tbsp chia seeds

¼ cup cocoa or cacao powder

3 tbsp of collagen powder or chocolate protein powder

¼ cup hazlenut butter or any other nut butter of your choice

1/4 coconut milk or milk of your choice.

Step 1: Add the oats, hemp seeds, chia seeds, and cacao powder to your food processor and pulse 8-10 times.

Step 2: Add your dates and nut butter to the food processor and process for 15-20 sec until the mixture resembles little crumbs.

Step 3: Slowly add the coconut milk or water to bring the mixture together. I like to add the milk in small equal parts until the mixture comes together into a larger ball.

Step 4: Scoop out a little of the mixture and roll into an inch or so in width

Step 5: store in an airtight container in your pantry or fridge.
